Mr. Rick is the proud Owner of The Goddard School of Meridian and brings both personal and professional passion to his role in early childhood education. His journey with Goddard began when his own son attended a Goddard School in Texas, where he experienced firsthand the powerful impact a nurturing, high-quality early learning environment can have on a child’s development. Inspired by this experience, Mr. Rick opened the Meridian location with a mission to foster a love of learning in every child who walks through the doors. Rick holds a Bachelor's degree in Small Business from Mount Royal University and brings a strong foundation in leadership, community engagement, and educational support to his work. Outside of the school, he enjoys spending time with his family, exploring the outdoors, and adventuring with his dog Yogi. Mr. Rick has completed a background check through Idaho’s Department of Health and Welfare and is CPR and First Aid Certified.
Ms. Alexus is the Operations Director at The Goddard School and has been a valued member of our team since the summer of 2021. With over 10 years of experience in early childhood education, she has worked with children of all ages and brings a deep understanding of classroom dynamics, developmental milestones, and family partnerships to her leadership role. Ms. Alexus holds her Director Certificate through the ChildCare Education Institute and is passionate about fostering a strong, connected school community. She is especially focused on bridging the gap between home and school, creating an environment where families feel supported and children thrive. Outside of her work at Goddard, Ms. Alexus enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband and their three children, diving into a good book, sipping on caffeine-fueled beverages, and sharing a well-timed pun. Ms. Alexus has completed a background check through Idaho’s Department of Health and Welfare and is CPR and First Aid Certified.
Ms. Brooke is our Education Director. She brings 18 years of experience to the role including time in the classroom working with Infants to PreK students. Before joining The Goddard School in August 2023 she worked at the U of I as an education coach for early educators. In 2015 Brooke obtained her Associate degree in early childhood education from College of Western Idaho. Then in 2023 she received her Bachelor's Degree in Applied Science with an emphasis in Conflict Management from Boise State University. She specializes in supporting our teachers in the classroom, providing resources and training around best practice and managing quality control within the school. Brooke has lived in Boise most of her life and enjoys walking the greenbelt with her fur baby Lucy, playing board games, and enjoying brunch with friends. Ms. Brooke has completed a background check through Idaho's Department of Health and Welfare and is CPR and First Aid certified.
Ms. Alexis is the Lead Teacher in our Preschool Dolphins classroom (ages 3–4). She joined The Goddard School in spring of 2024 and brings several years of experience working with young children, especially ages 2 to 4. Ms. Alexis holds a Child Education Certificate through the state of California and is passionate about helping children discover their love for learning through patience, kindness, and engaging activities. Her classroom is a warm, nurturing space where curiosity is encouraged and each child is supported in their growth. Outside of school, Ms. Alexis enjoys reading, working on puzzles, baking, camping, and spending time in nature. She’s also a huge Taylor Swift fan and loves bringing a little music and fun into her day. Ms. Amanda is the Lead Teacher in our PreK Pandas classroom. Since joining The Goddard School in winter 2020, she has brought 12 years of rich experience—including teaching at the university level—and a vibrant passion for early education. Proudly representing the Miskito Indigenous group from Honduras, Ms. Amanda is trilingual in Miskito, Spanish, and English and delights in sharing new languages with her students, making each day a cultural adventure. Her classroom is a lively space where patience meets creativity, and hands-on learning sparks curiosity and joy. Outside the classroom, Ms. Amanda enjoys dancing, painting, hiking, and gardening. Ms. Aysia is the Lead Teacher in our PreK Owls classroom (ages 4-5) and has worked at The Goddard School since Summer 2021. With 10 years of experience, she brings a joyful passion for teaching and a unique cultural perspective as a proud Pacific Islander from Saipan. Ms. Aysia loves weaving her rich heritage into daily lessons, including teaching children Chamorro to help them connect with her culture and others. She sparks curiosity with messy science experiments and makes literacy come alive through creative, hands-on activities. Outside the classroom, Ms. Aysia enjoys coloring outdoors, experimenting with new recipes, camping adventures, and hosting lively dinner parties. A devoted LA Dodgers fan, she also cherishes the magic of Christmas with family and friends. Ms. Jacky is a Lead Teacher in our Octopus Classroom (2-3 years old) and has been part of The Goddard School team since the spring of 2021. She brings 7 years of experience working with young children, specifically with ages two through five. Jacky is passionate about creating a classroom environment that is warm, creative, and engaging. She enjoys learning about each child’s unique interests and thoughtfully incorporates them into her daily lesson plans to support development and spark curiosity. Her teaching style blends creativity with structure, helping children feel both inspired and secure. Jacky’s dedication to fostering connection and growth shines through in her interactions with every child. Ms. Jayden is the Lead Teacher in our Preschool Giraffes Classroom (3-4 years old). With over six years of experience in the field, she has served as a Lead Teacher across every age group from infants to school-age. Ms. Jayden holds an Associate’s degree in Liberal Arts and in Elementary Education. She is passionate about helping children grow through play, exploration, and hands-on learning. Outside the classroom, she leads an exciting life as a performer—she has danced for a local arena team and is currently training to become a professional dancer for the NBA or NFL! Ms. Jill is the Lead Teacher in our PreK Otter classroom (4–5 years). She brings over 15 years of experience in early childhood education and has been working with The Goddard School since spring of 2022. Since beginning her career in 2009, Jill has worked in a variety of roles—including Teacher, Director, and Curriculum Coordinator—gaining a strong foundation in both classroom leadership and curriculum development. Her approach to teaching emphasizes structure, consistency, and a love of learning. Ms. Jill holds a Bachelor of Science in Educational Studies and will soon complete a Master’s degree in History with an emphasis in Education. She is set to begin her Ph.D. in History this coming spring, bringing fun historical opportunities into the classroom. Outside of school, Ms. Jill enjoys nonfiction reading, quiet time at home with her two daughters and cats. Ms. Mina is the Lead Teacher in our Guppies classroom (12–18 months). Since joining our school in Fall 2024, she has brought warmth, experience, and a joyful spirit to her role. With over 10 years working with children from infancy to age 12, Ms. Mina has taught in preschools, summer camps, and worked as a nanny. She holds three Associate of Arts degrees in Early Childhood Education, Administration of Justice, and Social & Behavioral Sciences, giving her a broad perspective on child development. In the classroom, she creates a safe, nurturing space full of songs, stories, laughter, and playful learning. Outside of work, she enjoys sporting events, long walks, and traveling. Ms. Mina is CPR and First Aid certified and has completed a background check through Idaho's Health and Welfare department.
Ms. Taryn is the Lead Teacher in our Infant Koala classroom (6 weeks–12 months). She brings over 10 years of experience in early childhood education, and has worked at The Goddard School since Winter of 2022. Throughout her career, Taryn has served in various leadership roles including Lead Teacher and child care Director, building a strong foundation in infant care, classroom management, and early development. Her teaching style emphasizes nurturing, responsiveness, and creating a safe, engaging environment for our youngest learners. Taryn is passionate about supporting each child’s individual growth during this important first year. Ms. Torri is the Lead Teacher in our Twos Monkey classroom and has been part of The Goddard School since winter of 2021. She brings over 10 years of experience working with young children and has a natural talent for helping little learners grow in confidence and independence. Born and raised in Idaho, Ms. Torri creates a classroom environment that is warm, structured, and full of encouragement—helping children get ready for preschool while having fun and learning along the way. Currently pursuing a degree to become a pediatric dentist, Ms. Alexis is passionate about children's health and development. Ms. Angela is an Assistant Teacher in our Preschool Dolphin classroom (ages 3–4) and has been a valued member of The Goddard School team since the fall of 2023. She is proud to be Brazilian and is fluent in both English and Portuguese, enriching her classroom with cultural diversity and inclusive communication. Ms. Cathy is a dedicated Resource Teacher who has been supporting all of our classrooms at The Goddard School since Winter 2023. With over seven years of experience working with children of all ages from infants to high school students. Cathy brings both expertise and a playful spirit to her role and helps to create a fun, relaxed environment where children feel safe, supported, and encouraged to grow. When she’s not at school, you can find her hiking a trail, getting lost in a good book at the park, or enjoying time with her family. Outside of the classroom, Ms. Cathy enjoys time with her family, crocheting, and watching football - Roll Tide! Ms. Emma is an Assistant Teacher at The Goddard School and has been a valued member of our team since the summer of 2023. She brings 7 years of experience in early childhood education and has worked with children of all ages, from infants through Pre-K. Though she originally went to school for esthetics, Ms. Emma found her true passion working with young children and is thrilled to continue growing in the field of early education. Her approach focuses on fostering curiosity, emotional connection, and joyful exploration. Ms. Haley is Lead Teacher in our Toddler Penguins classroom (18-24 months). She has been working with The Goddard School since the fall of 2023 and brings 7 years of experience working with children from infancy through age five. Since beginning her career in early childhood education, Haley has developed a passion for nurturing young children and creating supportive, engaging environments where they can learn and grow. She plans to continue her professional journey by pursuing a degree in Early Childhood Education. Originally from the beautiful Lake Tahoe area, Haley recently relocated to Idaho and is excited to build connections with children and families in the community. Her approach to teaching emphasizes patience, connection, and curiosity. Outside of school, Ms. Haley enjoys reading, thrifting, spending time near the water, and being with her family. Ms. Juannie is an Assistant Teacher in our Two-Year-Old Monkey classroom and has been a valued member of The Goddard School team since summer 2022. She brings experience working with children ranging in age from infants to five years old and is passionate about supporting each child's growth through nurturing relationships and engaging activities. Ms. Mai'ana is the Assistant Teacher in our PreK Pandas classroom (4–5 years). Originally from the beautiful Pacific Island of Rota, Ms. Mai'ana takes great pride in her cultural heritage and brings a strong sense of community into her work. Ms. Ragan is the Assistant Teacher in our PreK Otter classroom and has been with The Goddard School since summer 2024. With over 20 years of experience in early childhood education—primarily with 3–4-year-olds—she brings a joyful, hands-on approach to teaching. Throughout her career, she has worked as a Lead Teacher, paraprofessional, and even ran her own in-home preschool. Ms. Ragan loves filling the classroom with fresh, exciting materials that spark curiosity, creativity, and discovery. Her passion for learning is contagious, and she thrives on seeing children explore and grow. Outside of school, she enjoys painting, crafting, camping, swimming, and shopping. Ms. Tabitha is an Assistant Teacher in our Octopus classroom. With over 13 years of hands-on experience working with children ranging from infants to high schoolers, she brings a wealth of knowledge, patience, and energy to the classroom each day. Outside of the classroom, Ms. Tabitha loves spending quality time with her husband and their three wonderful children. As a family, they enjoy boating on sunny days, hiking scenic trails, and hitting the slopes for snowboarding adventures in the winter. Ms. Diana is our Administrative Assistant supporting the front office staff. She brings over ten years of experience working with children from infants through age five and has been a valued member of The Goddard School since the Summer 2021. Her journey in education began at Boise State University, where she studied Elementary Education and developed a strong foundation in teaching and learning. Outside of the classroom, Ms. Diana loves baking sweet treats, hunting for hidden gems at thrift stores, trying out new coffee shops, and spending time outdoors with her husband and daughter Lavi. Ms. Diana is CPR and First Aid certified and has successfully completed a background check through Idaho’s Health and Welfare division.
Ms. Hailey is a Resource Teacher supporting all classrooms at The Goddard School since summer 2023. With 8 years of experience working with children from infants through school age, she brings energy, patience, and creativity to every interaction. Hailey thrives on those magical “aha” moments when children suddenly understand new concepts, and she loves making learning fun and exciting. Ms. Hannah is a Resource Teacher who supports all classrooms within our school. With over five years of experience working with children from infants to school age, she brings a deep understanding and passion for early childhood development. When she's not in the classroom, Hannah loves attending live concerts, exploring the outdoors, hiking scenic trails, and casting a line on fishing trips. She is currently pursuing her dream of becoming a licensed cosmetologist and is enrolled in cosmetology school. Hannah has been working at The Goddard School since Summer 2025. Ms. Hannah has completed a background check through Idaho’s Department of Health and Welfare and holds certifications in CPR and First Aid.
Ms. Jessica is a resource teacher that supports all our classrooms. She has been working with children for over 5 years and has been with The Goddard School since June of 2023. She is currently pursuing her Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education. On any given day, you can find Ms. Jessica outdoors. She loves to go kayaking, fishing, hiking, camping, and water skiing. Ms. Marbella (Bella) is a resource teacher supporting all classrooms and joined The Goddard School in the summer of 2025. She brings 3 years of experience working with children from preschool through 8th grade, developing a strong understanding of how to support young learners at various stages of growth. Bella’s approach to teaching focuses on creativity, patience, and building meaningful connections with each child. Ms. Bella holds an Associate’s Degree and plans to continue her journey in education. Outside of school, she enjoys baking, cooking, painting, coloring, and getting lost in a good book. Ms. Tia plans to begin college within the next year to pursue a degree in Elementary and Early Childhood Education, with dreams of becoming an elementary school teacher.
